DITA OPENS FLAGSHIP NEW YORK BOUTIQUE
February 2015 - DITA is delighted to announce the opening of its first East Coast boutique in New York, situated in the very heart of the city’s Soho district. With this opening, the brand is strengthening its presence in the US following its inagural store in LA and Tokyo flagship.
The 900 sq ft interior has been designed by Tag Front architecture studio, whom have collaborated with the brand for some years now, designing the DITA boutiques globally.
The boutique has a glass facade, highlighted with lighting designed by Vibia and bespoke display cases created by Molteni & Co.
The premises continues the aesthetic of the LA based brand, with luxurious hand finished interiors, contrasting with bare concrete walls and esposed ceiling.
The shop window is high-impact: a double-height glass panelled window through which natural light fills the store. Adjacent is the entrance created from glass and industrial steel.
John Juniper and Jeff Solorio – “We are excited to bring our West Coast aesthetic to the East Coast. New York City is always an inspiration for us and we are thrilled to be opening a store in the most dynamic city in the world.
Tag Front says ‘DITA stands for luxury, fine craftsmanship, sophistication combined with an edge. Emulating this are the fixtures and elements, showcasing the refined elegance, juxtaposing against raw concrete walls and steel like floors.’
DITA sunglasses, opticals and limited edition frames are available at the New York flagship.
